“Goldsmiths Illustration students are taught to develop, experiment, and explore picture making within a series of illustrations for diverse formats, using direct and non-direct media such as collage or relief printing. These might include telling a story within a sequence, utilising personal narrative, promotion for a purpose, or persuasion within a larger format, using traditional or digital techniques.

In the third year, students have to follow a number of fast paced briefs but also work on a personal project they must devise and plan themselves. This requires them to research, rough-out, and think about composition and colour as they create their finished pieces.

This year’s group have risen to the challenge and have produced some very high-quality pieces of work that explore a range of themes.”
