This project examines the ephemeral nature of memory through objects once cherished but now abandoned. Using portrait photography and cyanotype printing, I capture individuals alongside their discarded belongings—objects that once held significance but have now lost their place. The cyanotypes remain unfixed, allowing the images to gradually fade, mirroring the slow erosion of memory and attachment over time.
By embracing disappearance as part of the process, Blue Oblivion highlights the tension between permanence and loss, presence and absence. These objects, though no longer needed, carry imprints of personal histories. Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on the impermanence of material possessions and the emotions intertwined with letting go..
