Alice Chapman first realised she wanted to become a journalist when she was hitchhiking all over the world, alone – and having astonishingly positive experiences. As she wanted to tell the stories of the lives and perspectives she encountered, it felt natural for her to write her final project about the seemingly lost art of hitchhiking.
