Dreams are Just Dreams
Bally Kaur, born in India and holding a British passport, is a writer with a passion for crafting compelling narratives. During her time at Goldsmiths, she has honed her skills and recently completed a short story about a young girl trapped in lucid dreams, as well as a film script centered around a break-in motivated by the pursuit of closure.
Bally has always been drawn to writing reality-based horror, believing it to be the most impactful genre for her target audience. Since beginning her studies at Goldsmiths, she has written four pieces delving into reality horror scenarios, each exploring the unsettling intersection of the ordinary and the terrifying. This year, she expanded her creative output by writing a short piece and recording it as an audiobook, further experimenting with storytelling through sound.
Looking ahead, Bally aims to continue exploring the potential of audio-based narratives, with the goal of adapting her work into a short radio piece. Her ambition is to push the boundaries of reality horror, creating immersive experiences that resonate deeply with her audience.
