Drowning Shadows

Hafiza Khanom is an aspiring British-Bangladeshi writer with a keen interest in film-making and the art of creativity. She has been writing stories since she was a child and has since honed her skills in the BFI Film Academy with a Silver Arts Award, studying Media and Communications at Goldsmiths University and specialising in creative writing. From writing snippets of fiction for fun, she wants to make an impact as a brown Muslim fictional writer.

‘Drowning Shadows’ is a story of grief, transcendent loss, and internal conflict. It focuses on themes of betrayal and questioning your experience and perspective, and how the truth may be far from what you expect.
