Spice It Up uses digital animation to explore the current politics of the South Korean football, both metaphorically and figuratively. My work inter- weaves the two concepts of ‘football’ and ‘cooking’ in order to explore the theme of corruption. A recipe instructs the viewer how to prepare the perfect team of players.

Having lived all over the world, football has played an important role in shaping an national sense of belonging. It has the power to bring a variety of races, cultures and individuals together into a cohesive whole, a team and parts of my life have revolved around it.
