As a form of therapy, I have always been interested in using photography to understand parts of myself more deeply and consider why I am the way I am. Those who brought me up and shared my life from the beginning helped me to become the person I am today, however, I tend to keep their lives 'private' and hidden from the public eye, only discussing that side of my life with my closest friends. By showing the line of connection within my family and photographing my family members' personal space and belongings, I wanted to bring the audience into an intimate part of my life. A collection of personal letters and thoughts from my childhood is dedicated to introducing my young self's thoughts on my family in contrast with the relationships I have with them now, 15 to 18 years later.
