An Illustrated Guide to Scarborough

"An Illustrated Guide to Scarborough” is a project celebrating my hometown of Scarborough - a seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast. I have created a bright, colourful but functional guide highlighting all the best parts of the town, with recommendations for both visitors to the town as well as some reminders of all the things locals can do without travelling too far.
I was inspired by children’s picture books, vintage travel posters and illustrated maps. I have used a variety of mediums to create my final piece - using predominantly watercolour with pencil and ink for details, as well as coloured ink for my map.
