《年岁》- 《By Years》

My project depicts my memories of childhood outings, which includes night scenes of the Bund, temple fair scenes, and Jiangnan, to name a few. My childhood experiences are of special significance to me personally, as I rarely had the opportunity to go out with my parents due to some family issues and busy school work. Taking this opportunity, I was able to look back on my childhood, and revisit the perspective of the little girl I used to be. Through that, I was able to reconnect with the past and invite her to a conversation with my grown-up self. In the process of painting, I tried to shape the picture through the distinction of colours, while presenting the themes of the picture through different subjects and elements.
