This project is focusing on Sicilian immigration to the UK. In particular, the immigration of my family to Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, a town which has the largest population of Sicilians anywhere outside of Sicily. The podcast explores the stories of three different generations. The challenges of leaving your home and having to adjust to a new way of life. The stories of the jobs they did and the businesses they started. Their difficulties surrounding ideas of belonging and identity. The project guides you to discover and learn by taking a journey through the decades to highlight important stories, so they are never forgotten.
