Into the Jungle

My focus is capturing youth culture in a way that reiterates how it was photographed in the 1990's, when film photography and the underground rave scene were thriving. My love for music encourages me to involve myself in the scene and use photography as a way of presenting the ambience of the events.
My project ‘Into the jungle’ focuses on all the different elements you see at a jungle music rave; indulging into the ecstatic atmosphere and taking in all the different identities that surround you. Using a mix of portraiture and atmospheric images helps summarise all the contrasting layers of a rave environment.
