Fold, sew, press... book of stains is a physical zine that carries a personal and emotional drift which, hopefully forms some relatability in a sense of sharing common embodied experiences. Its chaotic, DIY structure communicates a non-linear story through a series of images on handmade paper engineering, pocket juxtaposition and sewing elements that leave us with something that could physically be pulled out of the zine and turn into something else…that feeling of getting a gift. Book of stains is an assemblage in a general style of stillness that reveals memories, through minimal and bold composition. [Of course, any representation of the physical work, whether digital sketches or pictures of the actual zine, can nowhere near replicate the experience of handling the physical copy.]
