When Life Gives Us Lemon
When Life Gives Us Lemon is a character-driven short film exploring the quiet heartbreak between love and self-discovery. Through the story of Lily and Alex, the project examines how ambition, timing, and personal growth can challenge even the deepest relationships. Using recurring visual motifs such as lemons, honey, and the changing atmosphere of their shared apartment, the film reflects the bittersweet nature of adulthood and the difficult choices that come with it.
This project was inspired by conversations around career, distance, and the fear of losing oneself within comfort and stability. Rather than portraying separation as betrayal, the film focuses on emotional maturity, acceptance, and the complicated truth that love alone is not always enough to make two people stay together.
