This work is inspired by the classic novel by Swedish author Fredrik Backman. It uses warm orange hues to render a tranquil community streetscape. In the frame, Ove’s figure is steady and solemn. The clean lines of the buildings and pedestrians in the background perfectly capture his identity as the "guardian of community order". The design strikes a contrast between the character’s stern demeanor and the scene’s warm, inviting atmosphere, vividly portraying his loneliness and stubbornness in the wake of his wife’s passing, as well as the quiet tenderness and deep affection beneath his gruff exterior, and powerfully interpreting the core themes of love, loneliness and redemption.
