“'Draped Spaces' explores photography as a means of constructing utopian spaces that exist beyond the conditions of the everyday. Through fabrics, diffused light, and abstraction, I create immersive environments that resist fixed meaning, instead unfolding as indeterminate and perceptual experiences.
Utopia is approached not as a perfect place, but as a state of suspension; an imagined elsewhere that cannot be fully defined or reached. Within these spaces, form dissolves into texture and light, and the image shifts from representation to atmosphere. The absence of a stable subject allows meaning to remain open, inviting a more intuitive and reflective engagement.
Situated between image and installation, the work seeks to evoke a sense of the sacred and the sublime, where perception is unsettled and reoriented. In this way, my practice constructs spaces that are not to be read, but inhabited, fleeting, immersive, and continuously becoming.”
