ORANGE!ORANGE!!ORANGE!!!
I made this film as a self-reflection. At 21, I often feel unsure about my relationship with the world around me. Time feels unusually fast, and that speed sometimes brings anxiety and self-doubt. I wanted to make a film that stays close to these feelings without turning them into a heavy story or a clear argument.
The film focuses on a simple action; peeling and eating an orange. I chose this because it is ordinary and easy to repeat, but it also allows me to pay attention to small changes in pace, texture and attention. While I peel, I notice how I try to organise things, slow myself down and stay present. The voiceover is written as a quiet self-dialogue. It doesn’t explain the film or give a conclusion. It follows my thoughts as they move between uncertainty, the need for control and the fact that daily life keeps changing.
Stylistically, I work in an intuitive, stream-of-consciousness way, combining digital rhythm with natural and environmental details. I hope the film feels simple to watch but still leaves space for viewers to reflect on their own sense of time, uncertainty and how they relate to the world.
