This project emerged from conversations I had in London with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly women. I began to notice a shared emotional language surrounding objects, fandom, and personal attachment. Many carried small items linked to artists or characters they loved - objects often dismissed as trivial, yet rich with stories of identity, comfort, and belonging.

Combining essay and fashion film, the work explores the intimate relationship between individuals and the objects they choose to carry. Through interviews and poem, it examines how taste, fandom, and material culture shape one’s sense of self. For those living abroad, such items can function as emotional anchors, fragments of familiarity within unfamiliar environments.

Visually, the film treats these objects as wearable forms, both styled and embodied, while revealing their personal significance. Moving between observation, conversation, and poetic imagery, the project reflects on how desire, identity, and vulnerability become embedded in everyday things.
