The Deadline vs. The Squiggly Brain
ADHD is a massive buzzword today, but what does it mean? In this podcast, we explore the stereotypes and real-life implications of having ADHD and what it really feels like. The casual observer might think of the traits so often portrayed in the media – fun-loving, humorous, creative, and yes, a bit loud and chaotic too. But is that the whole story?
Playfully employing drumming as a medium to bring to life the buzzing, clanging, cacophonous ADHD mind, this audio piece also looks behind the curtain at the inner turmoil so often experienced by those with ADHD: crippling procrastination, frustration, demoralisation, self-loathing. But through it all, I wanted to explore how it can be a gift too; not just something to deal with, not just something to survive, but something that, if understood right, we can learn to harness and even thrive with.
