Disturbia tackles the question of what if we flipped social media on its head in a deeply uncomfortable way? Instead of focusing on the beauty of everyone online, what if that was switched and the insecurities are instead put at the forefront with beauty being a secondary thing which isn’t immediately appreciated. Putting my own insecurities at the forefront of what you see creates the question of why these are an insecurity of mine and invites you to get up close and take in every aspect of them.

Is it a process of acceptance that this is who I am learning to love myself or is it a sad realisation that this is the way society will always be?
