The story explores sibling rivalry and emotional change through the eyes of a young girl named Lily. I created a gentle and expressive narrative to capture feelings of jealousy, loneliness, and love, using soft illustrations to guide the emotional journey. Inspired by everyday family moments, the story reflects how the arrival of a new baby can shift attention and create emotional distance. Through simple scenes and quiet details, I wanted to show how these changes feel from a child’s perspective. By using an elephant family, I aimed to create a warm and relatable world that softens difficult emotions. This story helps children understand that their feelings are valid, while gently encouraging empathy, communication, and acceptance. It highlights that love within a family does not disappear, but grows and changes.
