UN-‘ROT’ WITH RIO
Beliz Bursuk
The way we watch films has changed. For a lot of Gen Z audiences, it’s no longer something you sit down and fully focus on – it often happens alongside scrolling, texting, or doing something else. This project looks at the difference between watching a film at home and watching it in the cinema. It focuses on the experience of being in that space, where your attention is on the screen and there are fewer distractions. I’m using short interviews with Gen Z participants to show how people normally watch films and how that compares to the cinema experience.
