From Faded to Vivid

This photography project explores the relationship between colour saturation and emotion. The images are arranged from low to high saturation, creating a visual progression from calm and quiet to intense and energetic. The photographs were taken across New York, London and China, using each location’s natural atmosphere to build different levels of colour.

In addition to the images, colours are extracted from the photographs and transformed into small circular elements placed between them. These circles guide the viewer through the sequence and strengthen the transition of colour.

Together, the images and colour elements form a continuous visual path, where colour becomes both a narrative structure and an emotional language.
